DECEMBER 2019 – HOLIDAY CONTEST

Subject to applicable laws, these rules apply to all aspects of the contest and are binding upon all participants.

 

Conditions for Participation

No purchase is required.

To participate in the contest organized by Leger, you must complete at least one survey, during the period when the contest takes place. To do so, you must create an account on Leger’s portal. Once registered, you will receive surveys that correspond to your profile. Every time you answer a Leger survey, you automatically receive chances.

The odds of winning depend on the number of participants during the contest period, as well as the number of questionnaires completed during the month. 

 

Eligible Contest Entry Locations

The contest organized by Leger is only open to residents of Canada. Surveys must be completed online on Leger Opinion’s portal or app.

 

Deadline for Entries

The contest will take place from December 1, 2019 00h01 (Eastern Standard Time) to December 24, 2019 at 23h59 (Eastern Standard Time).

 

Method of Awarding Prizes and Prize Description (Number, Detailed Description and Value of Prizes)

The draws will take place on Leger’s panel management system in compliance with the conditions of participation set out in these rules.

The contest includes :

  • 46 e-gift cards ($25), which will be sent to the winner by email in the weeks following the draw.
  • 2 e-gift cards of ($100), which will be sent to the winner by email in the weeks following the draw.

The brands mentioned in the prizes offered are not affiliated with Leger Opinion.

 

Designation of the Prize Winner (Location, Date and Time)

The draw will be held at 507 Place d'Armes, suite 700, in Montréal.

Every day from Sunday, December 1, 2019 to Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time, 2 winners will be drawn and an electronic gift card will be given to each.

The winners of Saturdays and Sundays during this period will be announced the following Monday at 10:00 am.

 

Media Used to Notify Winners

Winners will be informed by e-mail about being selected in the draw and the prize won, within 48 hours following the draw.

 

Claiming the Prize – Place, Date and Deadline to Claim the Prize

The winner must send the information requested to validate his or her identity within 10 days after the e-mail was sent.

The winner can reply directly to the e-mail or reach the Leger team by phone or mail.

The participant will not be declared an official winner until the necessary verifications have been completed.

 

Nature of the Skill-Testing Requirement that a Winner has to Satisfy in order to Claim his/her Prize.

To obtain the prize, a winner must:

  • Send us a picture of him/herself, containing Leger’s name, in order to demonstrate the authenticity of our winners to other participants.
  • Confirm his/her mailing address, as well as his/her date of birth.
  • Correctly answer the following skill-testing question: (25+15) x 5 - 100.

By accepting the prize, the winner authorizes Leger, the contest organizers, to use the winner's full name, address (only the city of residence will be reported), photo or image and any declaration about the contest for the purpose of publicity, and this, without any form of compensation. The winner’s name will be posted on Leger’s Web site and other social media networks.

 

Eligibility and Exclusion from Participating

To be eligible for the draw, participants must be of legal age according to the legislation of their place of residence and reside in Canada at the time of the draw.

Participants must also be a member of the Leger Opinion panel.

Leger employees, including its advertising and promotional agencies, as well as employees of the suppliers of the prize or those of another party directly or indirectly involved in the contest, including their family members and the people with whom they reside, may not participate in this contest.

 

Litigation

Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the board only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.

 

General Information

Leger is exempt from any liability in the event of:

  • lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, incomplete or improperly forwarded registrations,
  • viruses on the Web site or computer bugs during the contest,
  • network outages or technical problems with:
    • the phone line or network,
    • computer systems,
    • servers,
    • Internet access service providers,
    • installations or computer material or software,
  • any e-mail error or transmission delay, or any other electronic transmissions transmitted by or to Leger or its agents as a result of any technical problems on the Internet or on any other Web site, or any of the above-mentioned factors in combination
  • any injury or damages caused to a participant or to any other person associated with computers or as a result of participating in the contest.

Without restricting the scope of the contest rules, Leger reserves the right, at its entire discretion, (subject to approval, if applicable, by the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec) to modify, suspend or terminate the contest, in whole or in part, (and, at its discretion, to name one or more winners among the registered participants.) If for any reason whatsoever, in the opinion of Leger, and at its discretion, the contest did not progress normally, notably because of falsification, an unauthorized human intervention, fraud, violation of contest rules, errors or technical malfunctions, or a virus, a computer bug or any other cause that could alter the security and the administration of the contest or adversely affect them. Leger also reserves the right (subject to approval, if applicable, by the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec) to modify, suspend or terminate the contest in whole or in part (and, at its discretion, to name one or more winners among the registered participants.)

Leger reserves the right to substitute items of equal or greater value. In the event of unavailability of the price, Leger will ship the model the most comparable available.

Any attempt to deliberately damage any Web site, to obtain unauthorized access to another person's computer, or to adversely affect the good functioning of the contest is a legal infraction, and, in the event a person would make such an attempt, Leger reserves the right, not only to disqualify this person from the contest, but also to fully exercise its right to remedy in damages under the law, including, if deemed necessary, criminal proceedings.

The personal information obtained on participants registered to the contest is used solely for the purposes of the contest and to participate in other potential online surveys with or without remuneration.
