The LEO Member winner of the Contest will receive its Prize by email and/or by the mail, as the case may be. 

Conditions for Participation

A LEO account is required to enter the Contest and be a member in good standing with LEO (the "LEO Member").  Every time a LEO member answers a LEO survey or the Question of the Day, the LEO Member earns chances that can be bet on the Contest. To participate in the Contest, the LEO member must bet at least one of their chances on the Contest. No purchase necessary. Limit of one Prize per LEO Member. 

Bets can be placed online on the LEO website or app. The higher the bet, the higher the chance of winning! To bet one or more chances:  

1. Go to the LEO Contest page on the website or app; 

2. Click on the (+) symbol, then on “Participate”; 

3. To remove chances from a bet, click on the (-) symbol, then on “Participate”; 

4. A bet can be changed at any time before the Contest end date. 

The odds of winning depend on the number of participants who have bet at least one of their chances on the Contest.   

Eligibility

To be eligible to participate in the Contest, participants must: 

• Have an active LEO account; 

• Have reached the age of majority in their province/territory of residence when entering the Contest;

• Be a Canadian resident at the time of the Contest; and 

• Have filled out their LEO Member profile and be a LEO Member in good standing. 

Leger employees, including its advertising and promotional agencies, as well as employees of the suppliers of the Prize or those of another party directly or indirectly involved in the Contest, including their family members and the people with whom they reside, may not participate in the Contest.  

Deadline for Entries

The Contest will take place from April 1st, 2024 at 00:01 (Eastern Time) to April 30th, 2024 at 23:59 (Eastern Time).   

Designation of the Prize Winner(s) (Location, Date and Time)

The draw will be held at 507 Place d'Armes, Suite 700, in Montreal, on May 1st, 2024 at around 12:00 p.m., (Eastern Time), via LEO’s panel management system, in accordance with the conditions of participation set out in the Rules.  

Method Used to Notify the LEO Member Winner

The LEO Member winner will be informed by e-mail about being selected in the draw and the Prize won within forty-eight (48) hours following the draw. Leger will use the info@legeropinion.com email address to contact our LEO Member winner. 

Information that the Winner Must Provide to Receive their Prize

The LEO Member winner must provide the information requested to validate their identity within thirty (30)  days of receiving the email informing them that they won the Contest. The LEO Member winner can reply directly to this email. If the LEO Member winner has not responded after such delay, they forfeit the Prize.  

Should the LEO Member winner fail to respond, Leger reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to conduct a new draw to award the Prize or not. In the event that Leger, decides not to hold a new draw, the Prize will simply not be awarded. 

After the necessary verifications are complete, the LEO Member winner will be officially declared. 

To obtain their Prize, the LEO Member winner must: 

1. Confirm their first and last name; 

2. Confirm their full address; 

3. Confirm their date of birth; 

4. Correctly answer the following skill-testing question: (25+15) x 5 – 100; and 

5. Send us a picture that contains the page attached to the email the LEO Member received (which informs them they have won the Contest). The LEO Member winner may be recontacted if the photo is non-compliant. 

By accepting the Prize, the LEO Member winner accepts and authorizes Leger to use the winner’s first name, first letter of their last name, address and city, the photo of the LEO Member and/or any statement related to the Contest for promotional purposes, without any form of compensation. The LEO Member winners  will be posted on LEO’s website and social media.   

Receiving the Prize

The Prize will be sent to the LEO Member winner via email or by mail, as the case may be. 

General Information

Leger is exempt from any liability in the event of lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, incomplete or improperly forwarded registrations, of viruses on the website or computer bugs during the Contest, network outages or technical problems with the phone line, computer systems, servers, the Internet access service providers, or problems with installations or computer material or software, or any e-mail error or transmission delay, or any other electronic transmissions transmitted by or to Leger or its agents as a result of any technical problems or congestion on the Internet or on any other website, or any of the above mentioned factors in combination, including any injury or damages caused to a participant or to any other person associated with computers or as a result of participating in the contest, including using the contest website or the transmission and reception of e-mails. 

Without restricting the scope of the Contest Rules, Leger reserves the right, at its entire discretion (subject to approval, if applicable, by the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec ("RACJ")), to modify, suspend or terminate the Contest, in whole or in part (and, at its discretion, to name one or more winners among the registered participants) if, for any reason whatsoever, in the opinion of Leger, and at its discretion, the Contest did not progress normally, notably because of falsification, an unauthorized human intervention, fraud, violation of the Contest Rules, errors or technical malfunctions or a virus, computer bug or any other cause that could alter the security and the administration of the Contest or adversely affect it.  

Leger reserves the right to substitute items of equal or greater value. In the event the Prize is unavailable, Leger will send the most comparable model available. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website, to obtain unauthorized access to another person’s computer, or to adversely affect the good functioning of the Contest is a legal infraction, and, in the event of a person making such an attempt, Leger reserves the right, not only to disqualify this person from the Contest, but also to fully exercise its right to remedy in damages under the law, including, if deemed necessary, criminal proceedings.  

The personal information obtained on Contest participants is used solely for the purposes of the Contest and to participate in other potential online surveys with or without remuneration, which the LEO Member agrees to be contacted. However, under no circumstances will the personal information obtained be sent to third parties. Please refer to Leger’s Privacy Policy. 

Litigation

Any litigation with respect to the conduct or organization of the Contest may be submitted to the RACJ for a ruling. Any litigation with respect to the awarding of a Prize may be submitted to the RACJ only for the purpose of reaching a settlement.
